Creation in Crisis is a podcast which will delve into the social history of the performing arts in times of peril. Each episode will follow stories from the world of performing arts and how it has responded to various historical crises; building from the Spanish flu to the current pandemic.

This workshop covers contemporary clowning – what is only absurd, and what is also funny and why. It also looks into classic tricks of the trade, exercises in search of comic identity, style and timing.

Dance and Acrobatics

A week of dance and acrobatics with André Hidalgo and William Thomas

During this workshop we are going to:
– share thoughts, look for material around acrobatics and dance
– share the process with vocabulary concepts and tools for improvisation and self practice.
– experimenting the process through self experimentation and guided improvisations.
– start a journey to reveal what your body is already able to do, finding your own ways to dig all sorts of forms that suit you.
