In I Was Told., the artist plays with, manipulates, and questions how both – the audience and
she – perceive her as woman and performer on stage. Through ring juggling and self-written texts, as well as plenty of interaction, they share witty moments and with a tad of feminism and a great portion of honesty, Kathrin encourages reflection and empowers the audience.

About the artist Kathrin Wagner:
Kathrin is an autodidact, specializing in ring juggling and spoken word. She discovered her
passion for contemporary circus through the juggling community,
in which she also made her first steps on stage in 2011.
Her great affinity for communication, foreign languages and cultural identities of their
speakers led her to a BA in British Studies and in 2019, to poetry slams. Since then, she has
written and performed her own texts, in English, German, and French.
In her creation I Was Told., which It premiered in August 2022 at the Spoken Word Festival in
Odense, Denmark, in collaboration with Dynamo Workspace, she was supported by the
