“Join us and discover how to dance while flying!”
Aerial & Vertical Dance is an interdisciplinary, performative movement practice that explores the limits of movement. What happens when gravity is altered? Where are the movement boundaries?

In this unique dance style, dancers wear a harness attached to a fixed point on the ceiling. At the same time, they remain in contact with the floor, creating a fascinating dialogue between flying and dancing.
We combine Aerial Dance with elements of Contemporary & Modern Dance, Acrobatics, and Contact Improvisation – all in a creative, safe, and playful atmosphere.

What can you expect from the Jam Session?
“An open space to practice, improvise and share flights together!”
After the class, there will be a jam from 21:00 to 22:00. Everyone is welcome to stay or join only for the jam. Participation can be done via Urban Sports or with a 5€ or more contribution.
After a safety introduction, the space will be open to practice aerial dance, trying different harnesses and techniques, improvising individually or with others.
During the Jam, a free and open atmosphere is maintained where everyone can decide what they want to do while ensuring safety. Participation is open to all—whether dancing, observing, painting, playing music, or simply enjoying the experience. At the end, an “instant composition” dynamic may be proposed with a more performative character to conclude the Flying dance Jam session.
“I often stop and take a moment to rest in that balancing place where movement is briefly suspended between possibilities; then with a gentle push, I rejoin the flow. This is my way of playing in the world, riding the force of gravity and searching for small moments of excitement.” (Bruce Curtis)
