About the event:
Circadian Rhythms is an evening of music and dance collaborations with an emphasis on mercurial grooves.
An intimate meeting of genre-bending bands, energetic contemporary dancers and idiosyncratic DJs, the evening will be an exploration of how sound and light interact with biology.

Performers:

GUT REACTION Percussive Dance Theatre is a performative ensemble based in Berlin and touring worldwide.
The company, founded by the drummer MARCO RIVAGLI and the choreographer GIULIA MANDELLI in January 2015, has been experimenting with ways to combine the art of contemporary dance with the visceral energy of playing the drums.
In addition to experimenting with the trinity of forms Percussion, Dance and Theatre, each piece created by GUT REACTION seeks to interrogate the structure and boundaries of human minds, bodies, and emotions.
The unique style that characterises them, leads the audience on a journey into the most improbable imaginings through an investigation where theatre, body movement, music and rhythm collide.

About the show by GUT REACTION Percussive Dance Theatre:
Zwang See: a percussive dance theatre show to share awareness regarding OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)
“Why am I feeling calm?
1,2,3,4,5 Blue. Door is locked.
Is he hating me? 1,2,3,4,5 Blue, walk on the right side.
Can I take it? Is it safe?
1,2 Go back, check the door.1,2,3,4,5 Blue.
He will never like me. 1,2 Lights on: watch!
1,2,3,4,5 Blue. Wash your hands, don’t touch me.
I’m afraid of sleeping. Look behind.
1,2,3,4,5 Blue. I’d like to love you.
I can’t touch anybody. I can’t let you love me.
1,2,3 People die when you sleep.
4,5 Blu. I still love you. But you’re gone.
1,2,3,4,5 times, watch me now. 5 times in my mind.”
Disordered compulsions in an obsessive world.

ATOMIC FRUIT

Atomic Fruit is a newly formed four piece art rock ensemble from Berlin combining textures of sound processing and modular synthesis with the organic presence of traditional instruments.
With influences ranging from trip hop, electronica and desert blues, their music pulls in different directions — an evolving sound weaved together by ominous, suggestive lyrical themes.
