Functional Juggling is a relatively new method that makes juggling (and other movement-related disciplines) accessible to all, regardless of age, disability, or prior experience. A unique feature is the reinforcement of movements relevant to everyday life with objects of daily use.
The goal of this seminar is to provide participants with a basic understanding and insight into the theory and practice of Functional Juggling. During the course, participants will be guided through a process of deconstructing and rebuilding their own meanings of juggling to make them more accessible. The outcome for participants is an awareness of how to develop and improvise new forms of juggling for each type of person. In addition, the nonverbal and sensory communication strategies that form the foundation of Functional Juggling will be explored in depth.
