Your Creative Space 2.0

Three days of ‘Michael Chekhov acting technique’ with Anna-Katharina Andrees
1-3 March, 2019
Wilhelminenhofstr 91, 12459 Berlin

Tools for circus artists and performers in new circus.

After the introductory workshop at Katapult, we will continue our exploration with the Michael Chekhov Technique – focusing on imaginary movement and atmosphere. It is not necessary to have done the introduction. Basic tools will be repeated.

This is a workshop for circus-artists and performers who are interested to find out about the power of imagination and atmosphere to develop their individual creation.
Images are used to define the space, to get clarity in movement and transitions. Working with the space in general and especially with the backspace offers a feeling of freedom and focus at the same time for the artist on stage. You learn through psycho-physical trainings and get to know tools in working with atmosphere, imagination and feelings. The tools are clear and practical. Working with imagination brings you to experiencing the truth of the moment. In this workshop I would like to deepen the approach of this special acting technique, which is a unique way of working with your inner space and creativity.

You are welcome to bring objects.

As teacher of the Michael Chekhov Acting Technique working with movement, dance, theater and circus-art Anna-Katharina has developed her own method for an artistic approach. All her classes are taught by movement, improvisation and composition. As outside eye and coach Anna-Katharina supports circus-artists to get a deeper understanding of their creation, to find tools for implementation of ideas and to develop structure for research, rehearsal processes and performance.
